About Ramo
Founder & Curator, ARTBEAT

Some people inherit property. I inherited pigment. My father was a radical fine artist turned
commercial renegade—an early disruptor in the Canadian and international art world
before the term even existed. So yes, I grew up with linseed oil in my cereal and Polaroids
on the fridge while rubbing shoulders with some of the greatest cultural icons before I could
form a sentence.
Call me Ramo. I’ve been orbiting the creative world for over 5 decades now—painting,
photographing, and piecing together fragments of identity across cities, cultures, and
contradictions. My medium is mixed. My message? Still decoding it.
What drives me isn’t fame or finesse—it’s the search. For belonging. For truth. For the crack
in the surface that reveals something human. That’s what ARTBEAT is: a living, breathing
gallery of works that challenge, captivate, and occasionally confound. It’s where painting,
photography, and digital experimentation collide in a space not bound by convention, but
guided by feeling.
At ARTBEAT, we don’t just showcase art. We expose perspective. Raw. Unfiltered.
Sometimes messy. Always real.
Welcome to my obsession.
Let’s see the world differently—together.
